Ann Kreiter,  Studio Host

ALMA MATER: Northwestern (BSJ '93, MSJ '94)

HOMETOWN: Appleton, Wisconsin

PREVIOUS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:  WKBT-TV (CBS), LaCrosse, Wis. - news anchor and reporter; WBAY-TV (ABC), Green Bay, Wis. - sports reporter; Fox Sports Net Chicago - studio host and reporter; ESPN - "SportsCenter" reporter; TeamWorks Media (Chicago) - senior producer

MY FIRST JOB IN SPORTS WAS …:  Reporting, shooting and fill-in anchoring at the ABC affiliate in Green Bay.  Fortunately, my time in Titletown coincided with the Packers two Super Bowl seasons in the late '90's.

THE BEST BIG TEN TRADITION IS …: The Paul Bunyan trophy game between Wisconsin and Minnesota. It's the longest running series in the history of Division I football and they used to play for the Slab of Bacon trophy. What great history!

MOST ADMIRED ATHLETE GROWING UP:  I come from a strong Packer-backing family, so I must admit I thought quarterback Lynn Dickey rocked!

GREATEST ALL-TIME BIG TEN SPORTS MEMORY AS A SPECTATOR: That's easy: Attending Northwestern's 1995 Rose Bowl game against USC. One of the most fun weekends of my life, despite the outcome.

GREATEST ALL-TIME ATHLETIC ACCOMPLISHMENT: Completing the seven-mile Bix Run in Davenport, Iowa in sweltering heat. I'm not a natural-born runner so being able to actually string together some 10-minute miles was a major feat.

FAVORITE QUOTE: "Let me win.  But if I cannot win, let me brave in the attempt."  Special Olympics motto.
